Our Products — Zenethane, Zemicals and Zenthynol
Zenethane™ — Biomethane
Zenethane is our biomethane, produced by anaerobically digesting cultivated seaweed and other high-yielding marine biomass. The process breaks down organic matter without oxygen, and the resulting biogas is purified to a high-quality renewable gas that is chemically identical to natural gas — a direct, drop-in alternative for heating, cooking and industrial energy, compatible with existing pipelines and infrastructure. It can be supplied in either gas or liquid form.
Zemicals™ — Biochemicals
Zemicals are the biochemicals we recover from the anaerobic digestion process alongside Zenethane. Rather than treating digestate as waste, we extract and refine chemically valuable compounds from it, creating renewable inputs for industries that currently rely on fossil-derived chemicals. It's part of how we get more value from every tonne of seaweed we cultivate, with nothing left over.
Zenthynol™ — Synthetic Fuel
Zenthynol is our synthetic fuel, made from Bio-CO2 captured during the anaerobic digestion process and converted via Fischer-Tropsch synthesis. It's a direct, drop-in replacement for conventional fuel, compatible with existing engines and infrastructure, giving hard-to-electrify sectors like aviation, shipping and heavy transport a route to decarbonise without waiting for new infrastructure to be built.
How It Works: Cultivate, Pelletise, Convert
Every product starts the same way: seaweed cultivated at scale in the open ocean, without competing for arable land or freshwater. Our Feedstock business blends and pelletises the harvested seaweed with sorghum into a stable, shippable material. That feedstock is then processed through anaerobic digestion to produce Zenethane, Zemicals and Zenthynol together, from a single, circular process, using infrastructure that's compatible with the grids, pipelines and engines that already exist.
Why This Platform Matters
Our approach isn't just cleaner — it's built to work with the world as it is. Unlike fossil fuels, seaweed is abundant, fast-growing and doesn't compete for arable land or freshwater. Because Zenethane, Zemicals and Zenthynol are chemically compatible with existing grids, pipelines and engines, they integrate without the cost and disruption of full electrification. It's not a bet on new infrastructure — it's a renewable input for the infrastructure that already exists.
